by: The Beat Asia
March is all about celebrating women, and what better way to do it with an exciting lineup of events for International Women's Day (IWD)!
From thought-provoking panels and networking brunches to guest shifts and wellness sessions, these events are all about honoring women, uplifting each other, and having fun!
Observed in March, Women's History Month is an important annual occasion for commemorating women's achievements, progress in equality, and empowering the communities around us. According to the Equal Opportunities Commission, as of 2022, there is about an HK$5,000 wage gap between men and women, with the gap widening further with increases in age. Evidently, there is much progress needed to be made and IWD offers a prime opportunity to advance the conversation and spread the word with fresh ears. Get involved this year by engaging with these events, donating to a local charity, or simply raising awareness amongst your peers.
So rally your friends, show up, and make this IWD one to remember!
